Melanie and her sister Katherine meet Josh in a bar. Josh is grumpy and not making the best impression. After helping Melanie get her belongings into the house, which she bought as a condition of her grandmother’s will, Katherine thinks Melanie should reconsider. Josh is there when a hurricane threatens the house and helps Melanie get prepared for the storm to hit. But she and Josh hit it off and one minute and the next he is angry. Everyone in the town tells her how kind and easy going Josh is. What is behind he changes in moods? When he moves to New York, Melanie has conflicted feelings at first. Will he come back?This story is the about love, but has many stumbling blocks along the way. It is enjoyable and uplifting with beautiful characters. I definitely recommend The Beach House. While I have enjoyed several books by this author, this one just wasn't as good.I don't know why, but dragged on and read "that looks amazing" a million times. Disappointed in this one.
